Dancing Leaves

They fell
Stepped on
Drifted by intense wind
Yet they dance

Dancing leaves

Some burn them into ash
But even as they kiss the fire
Before they turn to none
I see them dance

I asked “How”
Heard nothing, not even cry
Looked, saw endless smiles
Again, in mind I asked “How”?

Maybe it’s the sound
Rhythm of the drum,
I listened so hard
Yet in silence they still dance

This time I tried my luck,
“Please tell me, ‘cause I lack”
In my surpise, my jaw locked
Leaves gathered in my lap

“We’re fallen, useless,
And we dance with all best
Do the only thing we can be best
Even if we will always be last.”
